Located about 4 hrs north of Las Vegas is Nevada’s only national park, Great Basin NP. It’s a series of mountains and basins with most of the hikes at the highest elevation of over 10,000ft (3 km). It’s known for its ancient bristlecone pine trees, as old as 3000 years old, that seem to be growing out of rocks.
