After more than 11 hrs of flying, the plane landed in Guam at sunset. The air was hot and humid. We got into our rental Toyota Yaris, which in addition to being scratched all around, had a lot of other issues, the maintenance required and tire pressure lights were on, the front two tires were spares, and the breaks didn’t sound very good either. I was just hoping it would survive for two more days while we had it. After a dip in the hotel’s infinity pool, we were pooped so we called it a day.

The next morning, after some yummy local local breakfast at Pika’s cafe, we headed to Ritidian point beach, the northernmost point of the island of Guam. The girl from the rental car office specifically told us not to go there because there was a good chance to get a flat tire, but the road was fine, we’ve seen worse 🙂 The beach was pretty nice, the sand had a pinkish hue, clean, no crowds and calm water. And of course it rained.

For lunch we tried a BBQ place, which turned out pretty tasty.

Then we drove to Fish eye marine park – a window into the underwater ocean. That was more fun than I expected.

In the evening, we went back to the hotel and got some drinks by the pool, watched the sunset and called it a day.

Next day after breakfast we enjoyed the beach for a bit more and then headed to the airport for our flight to Saipan.
