Milestii Mici is a 120 mi (200km) underground wine cellar with almost 2 million bottles. It holds the record for the biggest wine collection and cellar in the world and it’s only a short drive from Chisinau. I can’t believe we’ve never been there before. They have a variety of wine tour & tasting options (imho, too many). Here is what we got for about $40/person:
– a guided tour of the cellar,
– 4 bottles of wine and 1 champagne for tasting,
– assorted cheeses, nuts and dried fruits,
– 2 bottles of wine to go per person.
Oh, and if you don’t finish the bottles during the tasting, you take them home. I’d say it’s not a bad deal.
